Alright so for you lore lovers here is what I’ve found: This takes place before the cracker island music video perhaps even a direct prequel, we know this as cracker island was a vision into the future by Russ. We also know Russ has started to go crazy due to the static channel, because 2D and Murdoc both have spoken about it. Murdoc states he can’t help but feel bad for Russ as he’s losing his mind. 2D is a bit less concrete as the audio file is from the static channel however we see Russ just staring blankly refusing to eat. More then likely this would have already happened or going to happen soon. It’s very easy to note that this takes place very close to the Hollywood sign which is a Chekhov’s gun of sorts as we know there will be an accident underneath. This means this will more then likely take place directly before cracker island.

Apenas escuché un pedazo de la canción y ya me encanta, no entiendo porque la gente dice que Gorillaz ya no hace canciones como Feel Good Inc o Clint Eastwood, si yo creo que esa es la idea, experimentar y probar cosas nuevas, cada álbum tiene un estilo diferente y eso es lo que hace únicos a Gorillaz, el hecho de que las canciones ya no suenen como esas, no significa que sean peores, y es que jamás hay que comparar la calidad de una canción con la popularidad de otras, no todas las canciones reciben el reconocimiento que merecen Además a veces se nos olvida que la música no es sólo para nosotros, sino también para los mismos artistas

La gente siempre va a decir eso de los artistas. Los artistas crecen, y experimentan, y tratan cosas nuevas, esa es la idea de ser un artista (ya sea musical, o visual, etc.) Esta bien si hay gente que no le gustan las cosas nuevas que ellos han sacado, pero me choca que esa minoria sea tan vocal a veces. Opaca todo lo bueno que un artista haya sacado. En fin, si tu lo disfrutas yo creo que eso es todo lo que cuenta! : )

@@Welcometotheslam5424 Idk, I think Plastic Beach has stronger low and highpoints than Humanz, but as far as being an album goes Humanz and actually even the fall beat it. Plastic Beach is a broken experience, you can especially feel that on Pirate Jet (which originally had an acapella section at the end, though the current live version with a deranged chorus is just much better and should have been the album song) and Orchestral Intro (which used to be Pirate's Progress). Overall, Plastic Beach was supposed to fuse a lot more arabic and classical music with the Gorillaz rock rap electronics package... Over all, all of Phase 3 got butchered HARD. 1. The cut down production 2. The cancelled Rhinstone Eyes single and MV, ruining the climax of the story that had been built up since Feel Good Inc. 3. DoYaThing is licensed to Converse who haven't rereleased it on streaming services. 4. Remixes are unavailable on Spotify, and there were alot including an additional collab with Tinie Tempah. I think this is due to some stupid iTunes deals 5. NOT EVEN THE G20 MIX is. They simply forgot to upload it. lul. I want at least the Remixes back :(

Humanz is barely a Gorillaz album, more like a collaboration/feature album that Gorillaz is occasionally a part of. The Now Now and Song Machine were much better cohesive albums, and neither of them had songs as bad as Momentz or Sex Murder Party.

I have figured it out. 2D got kidnapped by the cult next door and they gave him peppermint tea with other stuff in it. 2D says in his Potcast that it doesn’t taste peppermint and that he wants more and more. He also couldn’t remember what an ice cream was because they are trying to brainwash him. Now the cult are going to sacrifice him in front of the Hollywood sign. That brings us back to the cracker island video because on the news on the TV in that it says major incident below the Hollywood sign. Also Murdoc said in a video that the cracker island video is in the future. So that means the cracker island video is after what happens below the sign. They also bring all the band to the hospital in the cracker island video. Also In the Cracker Island video 2D is in a wheelchair so the forvever cult might do something to him but on the potcast he said his legs are like melted cheese so maybe he can’t walk because the peppermint tea has done that to him.That means something is going to happen in that room…
