I think I understand what this video is trying to say. Russel's t shirt says 'No more unicorns anymore' which could mean that people have to stop living in a make believe world where everything is happy. Maybe he tripped 2D to bring him back to reality, his eyes go black and he looks annoyed because Russel has pulled him out of his own little fantasy where life is easy. This could explain why he can no longer skate after he was tripped.

I know this will get lost in the slop pile that is the comment section, but I have to say this This song was my introduction to Gorillaz, and even though this isn't my favourite song, it still holds a place in my heart. Watching this video in the summer after Covid was gone was truly an uplifting experience.
