I think I understand what this video is trying to say. Russel's t shirt says 'No more unicorns anymore' which could mean that people have to stop living in a make believe world where everything is happy. Maybe he tripped 2D to bring him back to reality, his eyes go black and he looks annoyed because Russel has pulled him out of his own little fantasy where life is easy. This could explain why he can no longer skate after he was tripped.

Visually, musically, lyrically, quality, originality, is amazing as always.

I think the message of humility means a lot of things in a Gorillaz video of all music videos. Probably most meant for Murdoch to be honest, 2d is feeling free and fun and finally looks confident. He's coming out of his stiff shell but still trying to sympathize and reach out to Murdoch, lines that make me think this- "i need you in the picture, that's why I'm calling you!" "I don't want this isolation" (Murdoch doesn't have to be alone but he has to stop making others feel small) and trying to help out a guy having trouble skating and the guy rejecting him the way he did. Russell was probably frustrated with 2d STILL feeling like Murdoch can change after everything he's done to them, 2d in particular. I could see how Russell may be trying to tell 2d to have humility too just because he should probably look around and within - he's finally happy and independent, the future looks sunny and mellow, everyone is finally having fun instead of constant work and belittling. That's probably what Russ feels like that's what they are without Murdoch, not what they could be with him. Why ruin it with wasting time trying to reach out to the person who caused all that abuse in the first place? Russ may be communicating that you can't "have your cake and eat it too" - 2d might miss Murdoch in a paradoxical type of way but not everyone CAN change, and also that not everyone DESERVES change, or chances from those they've decided to hurt. 2d is messing with a good thing for him, and Russ doesn't like how he's thinking of giving him an "easy out." To what? Possibly coming back and being the absolute same as ever in an endless abuse/forgiveness loop. I think Russ really feels Murdoch got exactly what he deserved and needs to process for a while, his personality got him there and he needs to suffer a bit without coming back so soon or people trying to hand out their newly healed hearts just to get squash and taken advantage of again and again.
