Been around since Demon Days. This captures the vibe from that era but injects new production. 2D's songwriting is painfully beautiful as usual.

Damon's* songwriting. He also has some albums under his own name instead of the Gorillaz. You should listen to "lonely press play"- Damon Albarn. Damon and his long time Artist friend Jamie Hewlett pretty much ARE the Gorillaz. Jamie does all the characters and artwork (along with being co-founder) and Damon being the lead singer and inventor. Everyone else "in the band" are constantly changing up or just features to songs. Damon is a musical genius who is well respected in the industry. Getting featured on a Gorillaz track is seen as a huge honor. He has been around making hits since 1991 when he was in the band Blur who of course wrote the awesome track "woohoo" which is formally known as "song 2". He was in several bands before that as well but they weren't nearly as popular. Damon has adapted over multiple decades and generations of music and still managed to break charts and not just in the USA rather, the Gorillaz are a global phenomenon. He will undoubtedly go down in history as an all time great.

Damon knows how to nail emotions and put life on recall and look deeply into the those connections we can't always express.. He is genius. And this song is just beautiful, sorrowful and touching.

Very terrible things happened to me when I was younger. I lost my sister, father, uncle, aunts, and friends. So many people have passed away in my life, and some in extremely traumatic ways. This song makes me bawl and cry my eyes out. I miss them all so much

That's still really young, it's all about perspective and how you feel. Once you start telling yourself you're old, then you're old. As an 18 year old, 36 doesn't seem so bad. Just gotta enjoy the moment, no matter what age you are!
