YESSSSS IT was quite the moment. I saw the Gorillaz with opening act The Internet at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. I went by myself cause the people i know always say "who?" "never heard of them" .... i sat next to a man and his young son, and two younger ladies on the other side, I think I even shed a few tears ..... WE HAD THE BEST FREAKING TIME!! I danced and sang the entire night, I am 58 years old.. Yes, it was MAGICAL with all the lights everywhere. I kick myself everytime for not going to Demon Days Festival last year...

This line is the defining line of the whole song for me. I see it as if albarn is going into another dimension (says goodbye to reality) but unfortunately, you can't allow yourself to trip too much since life's responsibility, your loved ones, your entourage will notice and will try to get a hold of you ( the sentinels). This entourage is trying to resolve that issue and so "switch him off" of drugs. Basically this songs to me represents Albarns drug use and how he loves to drift away from reality and follow whatever feeling he is consumed with (the fireflies). However, it feels like he is abusing (getting drunk or dopesick) and then he realizes that he is neglecting his real life and relationships. Hence " I got drunk, im sorry, Am I loosing you?"
