The fact that they were able to take a violin, an electric guitar, a piano, a synth keyboard, and a Chinese instrument. Wrap them all into one song and still make it work is honestly the most hardcore thing gorillaz has ever done

The fact that this is one of the very few Gorillaz songs that outright says "I Love You" makes this even more special and depressing. Many people consider El Manana the saddest song on Demon Days; but to me, Every Planet We Reach Is Dead will always be the darkest and most heartbreaking song on Demon Days.

It's definitely getting hard to see the sun coming through nowadays, but Gorillaz is one of those bands that helps me see through the bad days.

This was my most played song on my little iPod shuffle when I was 12. Damon opened my brain to so much music at such a crucial age

2022 and that bass line and key slaps and makes me groove tf out before going to work every day. Thank u for always making music I loved as a teen and young adult, that i enjoy now-if not more-as an adult closing in on her thirties. Good music lasts forever.

I lost my leg like I lost my way So no loose ends Nothing to see me down How are we going to work this out Dreams aren't bad, I had turned back I love the girl But God only knows it's Getting hard to see the sun coming through I love you But what are we going to do Picture on the dreamer I'll take you deeper Down to the sleepy glow Time is a low Don't you know What are we going to do When you go back All the second selfless days You're in love with him I want to see you again I love you But what are we going to do

That first part of the song, the intro, has been literally engrained into the memory of my entire existence since as far as I can remember. Wild.

Does anyone realize the piano player is Ike Turner? The man credited for writing the first rock song ever back in 1951. Crazy.

when life beats up a relationship, sometimes love is the last thing that is left between two people. each person can make their own changes trying to find a new way to make things work while coming to the same conclusion again and again. sometimes we realize things wont work and we move on... always wondering what could have been. other times (sometimes too late) we realize that drifting in space trying to find a home with somebody we love is a rare gift that you may never get again. Cherish the ones you love and your feelings toward them. Be thankful if somebody cherishes you. Life is over before you even know it.
