Fun fact: According to the lore of the book Rise of the Ogre, the choppy distorted cry you hear at the beginning is Murdoc's pet raven Cortez Guy just randomly flew into the studio while they were recording and began caw-cawing right into the mic and they liked the samples so much they decided to add it to the song, and also they thought it was quite poetic

I first heard Gorillaz from Feel Good Inc. on the radio back when I was 6 years old. I grew up in the south and typically heard country or oldies so Gorillaz was a breath of fresh air. I loved the song so much my Mom noticed right away. She went out and bought me this album on CD back when CDs were still a big deal. I attribute a great deal of the music I listen to today to Gorillaz. At such a young age they opened me up to what music can be, it doesn't have to be cliche pop lines, or cookie cutter instrumentals. Can't imagine a life without music. Thanks for noticing, Mom, you're the best. Tldr; My Mom and Gorillaz are dope as shit.

You have no idea how I kept looking for this song to no avail... I even sang Aaaaaah ahahahaaaaah to google more times than I'd like to admit. One day, I was randomly listening to their old album the whole way through and lo and behold, the song found me.

IMHO the Gorillaz are the most creative and innovative artists for the past 20 years. This is my new favorite but there are about 20 songs of theirs I need to hear every day.

I’ve been looking for this song for about a month but just recently realized how much it sounded like a Gorillaz song, I only found it because of their unique sound. Love them.

"It feels like you're with your father in the place you love..." - literally my dad put Gorillaz music for me since i was a baby and i was listening to them for my litrally whole life (im 2004). And i remember my dad at this song haha and always cry cause i see the place near my house, one school's yard, where i used to play with little sister and dad, where i also played with my childhood friends and rode my rollers alone there. and i always listened to Gorillaz at there when i was alone for a walk. we moved out from that place 5 years ago, my dad died 2 years ago. i wonder what can i do to feel myself like im there again.....?

I always thought this was one of Demon Day's hidden gems, since it's so often overshadowed by El Mañana and Feel Good Inc. It just carries such an energetic vibe, like Damon Albarn enjoyed doing it most of all.

POV: You went into an alternate reality to escape the snail but since you broke the rules it transformed into a slow lumbering fluffy cat that plays jazz music that gets more sinister as it approaches.

what i feel like im missing out on a joke
@TheM0nsterUnderYourBed2 жыл бұрын
@kierad479 there was a question for this big inside joke to happen. "The snail" is just a normal snail that follows you but if it touched you you'll die a horrible death or instantly die, so you're trying to flee from it. I think the question was something like "you'll get 1M but there's a snail following you, and you'll die by its touch, what would you do?". That's from where it's from. Hope I was able to clear your mind on that, if not then please feel free to ask!
