Fun fact: According to the lore of the book Rise of the Ogre, the choppy distorted cry you hear at the beginning is Murdoc's pet raven Cortez Guy just randomly flew into the studio while they were recording and began caw-cawing right into the mic and they liked the samples so much they decided to add it to the song, and also they thought it was quite poetic

how do such weird sounds make such an enjoyable song. if you pick each sound out individually they are really unusual sounds. brilliant song

The macabre and hopeless aspect of a lot of Demon Days's songs is what makes them so amazing. This is one of the best Gorillaz songs. Period.

In my opinion demon days was there best album, I enjoy all the song (I didn't like kids with guns at first but it's grown on me over the years)

I introduced my mom to Gorillaz with their first album I bought after listening to the first song I've heard, Clint Eastwood. And she was immediately hooked as I was. So I bought her also this album. 24 years later, Gorillaz is still one of our favourite bands. 💚🖤

I first heard Gorillaz from Feel Good Inc. on the radio back when I was 6 years old. I grew up in the south and typically heard country or oldies so Gorillaz was a breath of fresh air. I loved the song so much my Mom noticed right away. She went out and bought me this album on CD back when CDs were still a big deal. I attribute a great deal of the music I listen to today to Gorillaz. At such a young age they opened me up to what music can be, it doesn't have to be cliche pop lines, or cookie cutter instrumentals. Can't imagine a life without music. Thanks for noticing, Mom, you're the best. Tldr; My Mom and Gorillaz are dope as shit.

I used to absolutely hates this song, seriously.. But as I keep hearing it I guess it grew on me, I instantly fall in love with this song. I dont know but something in this song is so good, the strange noises, mood, Murdoc's raven, the bass, backing vocals? Its just stuck in my head. This is now my favorite song in the Demon Days album, catchy and underrated. Hope it gets its love like the other popular songs.

I can imagine walking around the post-apocalyptic earth after world war 3 to this song. Devoid of any water. The world would not be green. Ironic, isn't it?

You have no idea how I kept looking for this song to no avail... I even sang Aaaaaah ahahahaaaaah to google more times than I'd like to admit. One day, I was randomly listening to their old album the whole way through and lo and behold, the song found me.

This has been my favourite song for over two years now, I can't describe why I like it so much though. It seems to just pop into my head everyday. It's pretty underrated, but lots of people know of it, but don't like it as much as I do.

I think one of the things I love most about this song is of course, how it sounds so strange yet so good, as well as the fact that the song feels like some sort of anthem when the vocals come in.

I think this is one of my favorite Gorillaz songs now. When the album first came out and I listened to this song, it confused me so much. The depth of this track was just too much for my 13 year old brain. The juxtaposition of sounds to create the mood of this song is really brilliant. It's brash, dirty, ugly, sad, beautiful and inspirational.

My all time favorite song from Gorillaz. I don't know what it is, but it sounds like a new genre mixed with these weird instruments that fit so perfectly and Damon's voice is so fitting as well. I remember hearing this a lot in my Childhood and when I finally found this song years later, I got addicted. I listened to this song for days and never got bored of it. It's indeed something magical in this song that I just love. 10/10
