Everyone here who does not understand this, let me sum it up. This is a spoof on a commercial substituting quality for quick money and a quick meal, like a TV dinner. They mimicked the sound of a commercial jingle to make this and whereas it is certainly strange, it has meaning.

I'll do you one better. It could also be hinting at the fact that mass consumerism is damaging the environment in an unrepairable way. The way the lyrics mention the sea being radioactive and silent. That could be about the pollution in the ocean destroying the ecosystem to the point where it's killing the living creatures within it, and possibly us very soon.

Plastic Beach is by far my favorite Gorillaz album, a lot of the songs are just insanely deep and well written. Including this one, idk I always loved it even though it got a lot of hate in its initial release. It’s just a fun song too, it doesn’t take itself serious either.

I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH! ONE OF THERE BEST. Its like theyre doggin on all the main stream artists and how they come out with the next big hit 'superfast' while they 'come in last' cuz they take time with there music, its not just meaningless words. i love the gorillaz

For some reason this song reminds me of my childhood (along with the entire plastic beach album). I have pretty much no memory of hearing this song or any other pb songs when i was younger (i was 5 with this album came out) but for some reason they just give me a very nostalgic feeling and it makes me happy 😊

plastic beach is my fav album from gorillaz, so underrated. i mean, it looked that damon and hewl put alot of effort in that project. the visuals, the "story", the songs are amazing tunes, catchy and melodic, i love it. maybe thats why the new ones didnt got me that excited.
