I love how Bruce Willis woke up one day and thought: Hey, i'm feeling like engaging in a car chase with fictional alt-rock, hip-hop music band characters near the ghost-town of California.

GUYS, SHOW SOME APPRECIATION FOR THIS GLORIOUS ANIMATION HERE: Looking back at this from watching it the day it came out, I'm really starting to notice the fine detail within the animation. The way Murdoc slightly nudges 2D to direct his attention to Cyborg Noodle malfunctioning, 2D mouthing words to Murdoc as the bounty hunter gets closer, even small things that really portray their characters through their personal animations such as 2D slowly ducking his head down in the beginning when the police were coming or when the cop car was shot off to the side of the road and 2D shot Murdoc that questioning look. All of it is EXQUISITELY done. Seriously, props to the animators on this. These small details are what REALLY stick out and make an animation believable and life-like, and they nailed it!

i’m constantly amazed by how well the gorillaz animators and artists blend the characters into the real-life environment. in every music video, the shading/lighting and the animation are so beautiful and seamless. i love the life-like movement, especially the skin on 2d’s face at 0:45 and murdoc’s eyes darting around at 2:56! the team is so talented at showing their personalities through body language and mannerisms alone.. it’s crazy. i also love the little comedic bits like murdoc trying to wave the officer to pass him and him panicking to roll up the window lmao

It’s really unfortunate what’s going on with Bruce Willis, he’s one of the few actors that just seems very laid back, family/work oriented, just a fucking cool guy with ill-fated circumstances. ❤ I hope he’s ok & I pray for his family 🙏

What I love most about Gorillaz (90s grl here) is the feeling they are unapologetically, culturally, musically JUST having fun and doing whatever they want to do with music, words, other authors they love.... just because they like it and appreciate it! The Gorillaz in this are so beautifully animated, their movements and the subtle details given to them flow so naturally.
