God, I remember seeing this debut as a kid and just being entirely enamoured by the music and the animation. My life has never been the same since, I'm 27 now, so more of my life has been lived loving gorillaz, than not loving them. I watched this one scene of Jamie hand drawing the animation lines for the gorillas walkimg in profile, on a light box, and I BEGGED my mum to get me one, we were poor af at the time, so I waited a few weeks until she could afford it and i was obcessed with drawing on it. Without that I don't think id be an artist now, and I'd definitely be missing so much from my life that I adore.

This song and video I will never forget and here's why: one of my earliest general memories is when I was about 2-3yo living at my grandma's house in Southside San Antonio. The house was in the ghetto area (Nogalitos & Zarzamora) and the home, though it was abit rundown, is still a home. But my mom and dad and I lived there first few years of my life. One night, my teenage parents and I were hanging out in my Tio's room watching this video with him just chilling and Every time I hear this song it awakens a nostalgia and little did I realize at the time, later in life I'd completely understand what the song's words mean, personally. Well yesterday, my Tio passed away and he was always such a gentle groovy soul, deep down badass. And I know he's kicking it up there in the brightest, with the highest. I love you Tio, I know we'll see you again ❤️

Sunshine in a bag is from the movie The good, the bad, and the ugly with Clint Eastwood in it. Clint Eastwood said I got sunshine in a bag, meaning he had a bag full of gold. Just a fun fact Edit: Since this comment has so many likes, I would like you guys to know the rest of the facts (even though they might not all be facts) #1. I’m useless but not for long the future is coming on. He’s not much use at the moment (because he’s probably wasted) but he will be in the future so he keeps his head up and anticipates the good that will come his way #2. Finally someone let me out of my cage. It’s part of the story surrounding the fictional members of gorillaz. I'm 62 and had chronic chiroses for over 35 years, I was never a big drinker as my mum passed away from liver disease as did my grandfather. Both me and my sister have this condition and it's only recently started to retain fluid but nothing like this. I honestly couldn't cope as I'm 62 live alone and not sick enough for a liver transplant and it's only 2 years until the cut off point for a new liver. It's frightening and I wish this man all the luck in the world that he gets a permanent fix.
