I agree. This is very "George Michael" to me, and I ADORE George Michael's music. Although Gorillaz is my favorite of all time. This is the best song on the album for me. The best bonus track is Captain Chicken.

Tarantula by Gorillaz is musically experimental and bewitching with the way that the vocals are weaved into the story of the song that helps a music listener easily imagine the kaledeiscope of magnetic emotions that the music narrator is feeling.

Me encanta usar la música de Gorillaz para mi viaje al centro de la ciudad todos los viernes, compro lo que necesito, voy a jugar billar solo, y termino el viaje leyendo en el camión a la casa... he usado otro tipo de música, lofi hiphop, electroswing, funk, skate music, ecstatic, phyco trans, etc... pero casi todas funcionan solo para una parte del viaje, teniendo qué cambiar de estilo cada que cambio de actividad, mientras que con Gorillaz solo lo dejo puesto todo el viaje hasta que llego a la casa n.n

This song turned my world into heaven the first time I heard it, cruising down the coast, gave me such a lofty feeling, such a realm, such a vibe. The whole album is another tour de force with its own retro eighties identity. If I had three wishes one would be to make Damon immortal so the world would never miss a Gorillaz release Christmas on into eternity.

to me this song sounds like a relationship going through a really rough patch, but one of them is saying no matter how tired i get or how bad things get, ima be there for you, which is real cute if i do say so myself Edit: it could also be that the friend is his phone, giving a more literal meaning to "on 1 percent" could be that its describing the chronically online people whos whole lives revolve around their phones, this would also describe the lyrics of being in a parked sudan on your phone maybe? or better yet the lyrics "Time's run out (In my lifе) Nowhere real (In my life)In the hills (In my life) Is what I feel (All my life, on my own, on my own) On my own Time run out I need you" could be referring to the fact they dont have a life out of their phone, and they need the phone to feel secure

I haven't felt this infatuated with a gorillaz album since The Now Now back in 2018, and goddamn, Cracker Island is a freaking masterpiece. Especially this song, idk why but it resonates with me so damn much, much like Kansas, and Souk Eye, Tarantula just feels like it compliments my eternal emotions so well without much effort, it truly touched my soul. "If you're good for me, then I'm good for you ane thats all I need in my life", perfectly encapsulates how I've felt for this person I've had my eye on for awhile, and after taking the effort of getting to know her more and more, she felt the same way I did. I haven't felt this sort of feeling for so long, and I wanna do my best to hold on to it and her as long as I can, officially starting my life. I love you truly Alexis
