Power of storytelling. It's not such an interesting video on its own compared to most of them, but as I've grown to know these characters through the years, I still smile all way through simply for seein 2D and Noodle having fun.

Reading these comments makes me so depressed. People will find anything to complain about. Sure, I'm a Gorillaz fanboy so I'm going to be biased, but I still thought the video was pretty great regardless. For those complaining about it not being a two-dimensional cartoon music video, please keep in mind that we are getting an entire cartoon show with that art style in the future. As for the 3D models used in this video, I thought they were pretty damn good. I didn't have high expectations so I was surprised by how good it turned out to be. A very large improvement to that of Sleeping Powder and the live interviews. I mean hell, if I didn't know it was motion cap then I probably would of never guessed based on this video. Good work to everyone involved in the making of this video! Can't wait to see what's in store for us next! :)

Theory: Ok. Murdoc is obviously up to something look at his creepy smile!! But the theory about him wanting to kill the others is dumb. He is a jerk, but he wouldn't kill his bandmates. He is definitely up to something, though, but idk what. I might know why though. Since phase one, 2D has basically been in an abusive friendship with murdoc and has never stood up for himself. Phase two was like this too, but in phase three, things got worse. First of all, noodle and russel were gone, so there was no one to stick up for 2D. Second of all, murdoc basically captured him and enslaved him at the bottom of the plastic beach. He also captured many collaborators to work on the album. Russel and noodle set out to stop him, and when they returned, 2D was given confidence. Keep in mind that the three of them have a close relationship. Russel and 2D are best friends and russel is very protective of noodle. Now, with a new found confidence, 2D sticks up for himself in phase four, making fun of murdoc in interviews and fighting back when murdoc insults him. In this video, he is dancing with noodle (DO NOT SHIP THEM) and murdoc is mad because 2D is paying more attention to noodle. Another reason why murdoc is mad could be that of all the members, he is the least useful on this album. Most of the songs on humanz are made with electronic synthesizers with drum machines, as well as 2D's vocals. So 2D sings, russel handles percussion which includes drum machines, and we know from the DARE video that noodle can play keyboards and synths. For once, murdoc is unable to show off because he doesn't do anything. That would also explain why he is mad. If you are reading this, then you took the time to read my entire theory. Thank you!! It's like Russel is the protective and loving big brother and 2-D is the more relatable fun big brother. And Murdoc is the no-good bad influence brother who always introduces the little siblings to bad things like smoking and vandalism.
