So, I'm really curious about Murdoc's little time out shack and I see barely anyone talking about it and all the weird little details. The box he's sitting in is an Orgone accumulator which is some pseudoscience rubbish that you basically sit in and depending on where to look either is a form of therapy or increases libido. The door itself looks pretty manic, covered in (claw marks?) scratches and has a lot of writing all over it, including a really old fashion way to say 'no entry'. The post-it note on the door says 'Freud bacon and eggs' which is a phrase linked to propaganda. Inside, other than his uh- "photography collection" is more deep scratches and the phrase "Phantom tollbooth" with a tally of 12 under it This could all mean nothing at all but it was interesting to look at. The only thing I can confirm is Murdoc is a complete nutcase

I just noticed that whenever 2D eats one of the ghosts in the pac-man machine Russel, Murdoc and Noodles are shown somewhat upset...like the fact that 2D is "eating" them is affecting them...I don't know if the pac-man machine is in any way linked to Murdoc's portal, but people are saying he gifted it to 2D as an "apology"... doesn't really sound like Murdoc to me

my theory: in the song, 2-D repeatedly sings about how there was always someone he relied on (Everybody knows, when I was sad, I fell for you), but that person simply told him he wasn't actually feeling bad and it was all just in his head (You can borrow my days and tell me I'm not blue), and they only made him feel worse (Everywhere I go I don't know where I am, I'm stressin' out). I think this is about how 2-D keeps putting his trust into Murdoc, but he constantly manipulates him and now 2-D doesn't know who or what he should believe anymore. despite him relying on Murdoc, he keeps using 2-D and making him feel stress. also, in the game, he's shown eating the ghosts with the band member's faces on them, which could symbolize him getting fed up with all of them and not trusting anybody anymore. also, when he says "I'm stressing out", all the band member's faces begin to appear in his eyes, clearly showing that something about them is bothering him.

I love how Noodle seems unaffected by being eaten in the game yet she's the one who unplugs it.
