I really love how they're doing this. The fact we are getting new songs this soon is amazing as is, but these short little episodes really just add to what makes Gorillaz so great in the first place. This first song is a banger, and I am so beyond ready to hear what else they have in store for us!

Not their most elaborate video, but I love the whole vibe of it. It really makes you feel like you're in the studio with everyone putting the song together during both the intense bits of putting your nose to the grindstone and the small breaks or relaxing moments inbetween. Just that feeling of being in a group and working together to make something.

I wish we see more of Russel. Like, I know everyone's favorites are 2D and Noodle and Murdoc but Russel is apart of the Gorillaz too and it really sucks to see him for 2 seconds and that's it. I don’t think people realize how good of an era it is to be a Gorillaz fan. In the past three years we’ve had: Humanz, The Now Now, and now Song Machine. That’s three albums (sorta). The timespan between Gorillaz, Demon Days and Plastic beach was TEN YEARS.

The instrumentals are so nice! Especially the really active parts!

Gorillaz NEEDS a show series, something hilariously weird.

Gorillaz lore aside this is probably one of the most creative songs I’ve heard in 2020 so far. The mix between classic punk rock aesthetics and a more modern form of it as well as the hip hop verse was fucking cool. Also the animation for noodle playing the guitar was insanely detailed.

After all these years y’all still manage to keep me intrigued in this surreal world of yours. Many bands are falling out or deteriorating, but no matter which direction this band takes, it still feels like the first time I’m hearing them.
