fun fact: There was going to be a song on this album called Leviathan that featured The Horrors, and the lyrics followed pretty much the same situation you described. That song was dropped in favor of Glitter Freeze

The morse code at the beginning is "PLASTICBEACH", at approximately 880Hz and 18 wpm. It was probably run through a filter with chorus/reverb as well. It might also just be a synthesizer, but I doubt it, since it's so precisely timed.

I've always perceived this track as the ocean screeching in pain as it gets polluted, and the laughing being those who pollute it. Most likely not the actual intention, but it adds a lot to the story.

This electronic/synth pop song feels so Garage rock. It’s got that lumbering bass line but it’s a synth bass instead of a bass guitar. Then they add on layers on layers of synths like a psych rock song. This track reminds me of Elephant if it was more experimental and better. I think this track has aged like fine wine
