Lyric: BABY QUEEN/GORILLAZ I met the princess from Thailand again She had grown up Into a queen Down in the abyss where the night Never turns to daylight She kept me in a Polaroid That was pinned up on her wall Under Garuda's mirror lights She takes flight Yeah the kid's alright You've grown up Baby Queen You've grown up Baby Queen (You've grown up) She fell into the generals (Oh, Baby Queen) On the watch all around her I fell into the vanity The mirrored lights of our dreams You've grown up (Baby Queen) In my dreams where you've been (Dreams, dreams, drеams) You've grown up (Baby Queen) In my dreams wherе you've been (Dreams, dreams, dreams) (Baby Queen) In my dreams where you've been (Dreams, dreams, dreams) You've grown up (Baby Queen) In my dreams where you've been (Dreams, dreams, dreams) You've grown up (Baby Queen) In my dreams where you've been (Dreams, dreams, dreams) Baby Queen You were in my dreams

My parents were really young and pretentious, I was still a baby when Gorillaz came out and they liked it so much they decided it was gonna be "my" band and I LOVED it: there's even a VHS recording of a birthday of mine in the early 00's in which Clint Eastwood (and other songs from that era) were playing in the background while I did my best to sing them, which wasn't really easy since my native language is spanish lol. This may sound kind of creepy and even cringy too, but my dad liked to refer to me as Noodle and he saw himself on 2D. He's no longer with us, so I don't know if he was aware of the fact that instead of being static characters they actually grew and aged... Gorillaz has been part of my life since forever but this year I'm really getting into them again and I think it's really curious how Noodle's development mirrored my own to the point that, physically, we're really similar. I wonder if somwhere, my dad realized that too.

My first song from gorillaz was rhinestone eyes. I listened to that song way back. Probably 5+ years ago. I found the song magic city a few months ago. I slowly started liking their songs more and more. Cracker island is what really reeled me in. Ever since that when a new song comes out I’m so happy

I've listened to Gorillaz since 2004..I heard some of their songs back in 2002. KZbin made me discover this band and the band Blur, Damon Albarn's solo songs and album.. I've been a fan ever since..some of my favorite bands

I am glad to listen to Gorillaz in my dull and rotten days, from which I am already tired. And the gorillas change everything and life becomes more pleasant. And this song, another masterpiece that I will listen to again and again as clint eastwood 😚

I lived 12 years sinking into depression... when Gorillaz returned and Saturnz Barz released, I, who didn't even like Gorillaz, started listening non-stop to cheer myself up. It's songs that relax, like this one, that made me get out of depression, and it's songs like Tranz and Mommentary Bliss that remind me I'm "alive." I love music, and now I love Gorillaz. :) Without realizing it, Gorillaz even affected my art, my characters started to come out with features similar to Hewlett's style, and I love it. One day I will buy his art book.

As the title of Cracker Island would hint at, I feel like this is a sort of spiritual successor to Plastic Beach, with similar stylistic music choices present between both albums. This type of music also shows up on The Now Now quite a bit. It's nice.

I met the Princess from Thailand , Again she had grown up into a Queen ❤❤ Amazing Gorillaz are back !
@kevingutierrez9273 Жыл бұрын
I hate to ruin your fun but the guy who met was probably ten years older than the princess since the song implies that he watched her grow up. Remember, Thailand has a lot of Western creeps walking about.
@radical105 Жыл бұрын
@@kevingutierrez9273 “I’m writing and recording a song about an incident when I was in Thailand and met the crown princess. This was November ’97. She was only 14 at the time, and she came to see us, and due to the very specific role the royal family play in Thailand, they put a throne next to the mixing board for her to sit in, surrounded by I don’t know how many soldiers. “Song 2” started and she stood on her throne and stage-dived into the crowd. The reason I’ve written a song about it is because I had a dream about this princess very recently; she’d grown up and we spent time in my dream together, her as a woman. So there you go: 1997 was a long time, but at the moment it’s not.” - Damon Albarn
