3:02 This is actually canon during the old interview with 2D and Murdoc of how Gorillaz began, they made an ad to replace their previous guitarist with Noodle, arriving at their doorstep in a FedEx crate. Crazy how they brought that story back after so long when Noodle was like ten years old.

I love that the actual band members thought about that when making her character :-)!! I’m glad her being Japanese wasn’t sidelined for solely speaking English and having an English accent and they thought about the implications of her solely speaking Japanese until she met the rest of Gorillaz and started learning English + being around people with English accents. She’s such a beloved character I’m glad she has that depth

I love that she went from a heavy Japanese accent to a lesser one that was still prominent. It just really shows that she was raised around British people and took on some of their accents. I love cool little details like that!

I'm in love with the subtle details in this that really make this interaction feel alive and real. The animation is far from ambitious but the little fidgets and shifts and leg bounces paired with how natural the conversation feels really goes a long way.

It’s awesome to hear Noodle’s voice again after so long! I heard the reason we have not heard her voice in so long is because the actress who voices her had a baby. Last time we heard her was the jaguar advert but I swear that must have been a different voice actress as the voice I am hearing here is the voice of the original Noodle Haruka Kuroda who has been voicing Her since the beginning when the character was still a child , so it’s nice to hear her reprise her role as the character Edit: didn’t expect that many likes, thanks 😂

I really like how 2D and the creator of the watches have trouble understanding each other and Noodles is only translating small bits to each party. Each party only sees the few words they understand, or what they think they heard. I wonder what would Murdoc would have done if he was there.
