I feel like all the hate for the album just comes from the fact that Damon/2D isn't as present as much as he is on other albums. Like, there are only really 2 or 3 songs where Damon is the focus instead of a collaborator. (I personally don't care tho, the album is good.)

Didn't think this one would translate well live, but WOW. The guitar and drums in the latter half were incredible.

Alot of the Humanz songs sound alot better live than on the album. I'm convinced the album would've been received better if it sounded less "digitally produced"

@Rafielo I respect Damon's decision to experiment with a 'club anthem' style album but it was very jarring on release, especially after a 7 year hiatus. I do love it now as I've expanded my horizons though. I think it's good that both can co-exist, that's the beauty of Gorillaz after all.

The Kool Klown Klan imagery adds a lot to the lyrics and how this lands. Feels like a vibe of catharsis is pulsing through the whole track. It almost sounds like a rite of healing rather than regular pop music yet it's still so alive and fun?! What a mix!
