I can't tell if I'm just blinded by nostalgia but I definitely can't really get into their newer stuff.. That's not to say it isn't good but I absolutely adore their old aesthetics and music genre focus. This goes for the art style and character design elements as well. The punk rock/hip-hop stuff was really cool. I can see them not being as successful in the current musical industry ecosystem if they decided to implement these elements again but man, I miss them.

I'm currently learning animation, and I would love to animate this scene. I grew up with noodle, and gorillaz; (God bless the early 2000s) Noodle is a guitar shredder. Like a moths wings on flame. God bless anyone who still bumps this anthem.

How about White Light, Murdoc is God or Spitting Out The Demons? I'd consider those pretty rock songs, but it's a shame that after Demon Days, there weren't really many rock-oriented songs. :/ These songs definitely kick ass though, especially Punk, this, and Spitting Out The Demons.

Eh, I feel like Re-Hash is a positive and fun song that starts the album on an upbeat tone, but it wouldn't deter from my experience if that was the ending song. (I'd say M1 A1 ends the album on a badass way that I feel like it's just the gang having a good time on the highway and driving around.) Still the best opening to a concert though, builds up the energy and hype immensely. :D

Holy shit each member just goes fuckin nuts on this track!!! If anything, 2-D is the one taking the backseat, we’ve already experienced all he’s had to say & his attempt to numb his sadness with great music obviously up to this point in the album with this being the closer, all he has to do is bring the energy & (at least try to) match the other three to finish the album off with a fuckin THRILL. Wish there was a video!

I remember as a kid, whenever me and my family would go on rode trips my older brother would put this song on sometimes when it would get dark and it scared me so much. Now that I’m older, I was pretty surprised to learn it’s by the gorillaz lol
